Spanish Banks at low tide is one of my favourite places. It has a bit of an alien world quality, with a long, rocky shore stretching east to west for what seems like forever.
I often visit with my camera, but don't usually aim the lens north, across the Burrard Inlet, as I've done in this image. I remember this windy October morning well, and my excitement at having found this composition just waiting for me, after all this time. There's usually one or more tanker ships in the inlet that spoil scenes like this, but not on that day.
