English Bay Detail, October 2025

Together with palm trees, driftwood is one of the first images that come to mind when I think about the beach.

This particular piece of driftwood is a very large tree stump found at English Bay Beach. It marks the separation of the beach from the seawall path, and does double duty as the preferred resting spot for Mittens, a celebrated West End cat that solicits greetings while perched on top.
